You can join us at Twin Pines for private or group lessons in both dressage and jumping.

We offer:

  • bilingual instruction for children through adult ages
  • instruction for beginner through intermediate and advanced levels
  • well-trained, high-quality school horses (that you can take to shows!)
  • a heated inside viewing area for lessons held in the inside arena

We challenge our riders, but never put them into a position where they shouldn't be. Safety is paramount at Twin Pines:

  • Helmets are mandatory at all times, for all riders.
  • All school tack uses safety stirrups.

Your lessons at Twin Pines will start with a focus on flatwork. Readiness for jumping is based on a solid understanding of the flatwork. Twin Pines instructors determine when riders are ready to jump.

Beginners start on a lunge line for a half hour on an individual basis until they are ready for group lessons. (How long does it take to move to group lessons?) Everyone progresses at a different pace, so it depends on individual riders.)

In group lessons, you will receive a weekly one-hour lesson, usually with 2 or 3 other riders. We accommodate "make-up" lessons by occasionally adding a fifth rider. We never put more than 5 riders in a lesson.

Cost?

  • Our fee for one group lesson a week is $200 per month.
  • Our fee for two group lessons a week is $380 per month.

Note that most children under eight or nine are too small to benefit from instruction on full-sized horses.

Private lessons are available by special arrangement.

(All prices include the HST.)
